The Synchronicities of Cosmic Locusts
The following is an enumeration of the major synchronicities that occurred during the evolution of the book Cosmic Locusts, The 2012 Convergence of Nostradamian, Mayan and Biblical Prophecy. Everything happened by “coincidence”. There were no dreams, no voices, and no burning bushes. Everything necessary was conveniently placed in my hands. Unfortunately, it was not always at the exact moment necessary by my timetable. I often would find later that I had missed a previous sign or that what I had been reading wasn’t for the purpose I had in mind. Many times I could imagine a greater power saying “Doh! He missed it again. What have I got to do for this guy?” It is also important to remember that I didn’t research facts and put them together for a story. I had the story already “provided”. The major theories put forth were found to have confirmation in sources already existing. These sources were found after the book had been written.
My purpose in this endeavor is to bury the reader in so many coincidences, many with astronomical odds of occurring by chance, that you may come to believe in what I have predicted. If true, what are we supposed to do about it you ask? I have to tell you, it is to repent (Ed: from the Greek, metanoia – literally mind-change) and become more spiritual. Sounds simple enough, but few actually do it. Not that I have it all together, but as you will see, I am working on it. I am not advocating joining any one particular religious affiliation. It doesn’t matter whether you meditate on crystals or go to Tibet. Do whatever you feel is best for you (and everyone else). But do something. We have less than ten years to mitigate or possibly even avert the coming events. The following story is not in chronological order. It is in an order I felt would most smoothly convey my story.
The Maya, for reasons unknown by me until now, have always fascinated. I wouldn’t go out of my way to research them except when I had a term paper to do in 1976. I still have it today, which always seemed odd, as I don’t have any other school papers, except some of those from my profession. I would watch a happened-upon TV show or pick up a waiting room copy of National Geographic to read about this ancient culture, but I didn’t go looking.
When news got out that there was an end date to the Mayan calendar, which is the winter solstice, December 21, 2012, I was enthralled. I started getting the feeling I should write a book about what was going to happen on the end date and what my philosophy of life was. The trouble was I had no clue about either topic at the time. In 1999 with the millennial change, my hand seemed to be called, as 2012 was now within reach.
I went to the library and was relieved to find John Major Jenkins had written a book already. Maya Cosmogenesis 2012 revealed the galactic alignment that would occur on the end date. I finished reading it on the winter solstice 1999, T-minus 13 years and counting. Unfortunately it didn’t say what was going to happen when the alignment occurred. I reflected on the book and came up with 3 relevant items.
1. Quetzacoatl would return at that time. His description as a serpent with brightly colored bird plumaged head seemed an apt description of a comet.
2. Tool rebellion (AKA technology wiped out) from Popul Vuh (Mayan Bible) seemed like a logical deduction from the near miss of Quetzacoatl.
3. The coincidence of the galactic center of the Milky Way’s alignment on the end date was too much to pass up as the GC is located at the juncture of Scorpio and Sagittarius, which is my date of birth. As the comet wouldn’t seem able to cause a severe enough “tool rebellion” by our modern electrical devices, it seemed very logical that the GC with its seething energies could provide the added impetus.
This scenario developed slowly over time and I even sat on this information for about another year. It seemed to keep haunting me. My imaginative musings wouldn’t let me go.

My wife’s boss invited us to his Seventh Day Adventist church for a revival type meeting. This has not happened before or since. During the presentation, Rev 14, 14-16 was presented in a “rapture” type scenario. It is about an angel in a cloud who harvests the earth with a golden sickle. It didn’t take much imagination to relate it to my comet/energy burst theory.
Fast forward for a moment to my writing of the preface to my book that included excerpts from an Edgar Allen Poe short story about a comet hitting the Earth. Research revealed it was based on a Christian sect that believed in 1844 a comet and Jesus were coming. When that didn’t happen, the cult dissolved with the remnants becoming what we know today as the Seventh Day Adventists. This is one of many neat little full circles of information that has been formed for me over the course of this endeavor.
Many things started happening, always pointing back to my “prophecy”. One example is that in less then a year my dwellings were struck by lightning (an electromagnetic pulse energy burst) at two different addresses with extensive damages, always including the computer. Celestial disaster movies like Deep Impact and Armageddon were released. Things just kept happening that were like subliminal whispers of “psssst” over my shoulder.
I started researching the Maya in earnest. My brother Jeff had written a book about his incarnation as a Confederate General, (Someone Else's Yesterday. The Confederate General and the Connecticut Yankee: A Past Life Revealed) so I was aware of the basis for reincarnation. Little connections started popping up during my reading. I wasn’t looking for them. Some are very personal. I mention one here due to its importance later. Years before this all happened, whenever I was in a “nature” store I found myself fondling and many times almost buying hematite (not actually a rock, but an oxide of iron and thus magnetic); (Ed: Joel has further qualified the previous statement; "It is actually paramagnetic, meaning it is weakly influenced by magnetic field"). In my research I later discovered that the Maya highly prized hematite, so out I went and bought some. Now I knew that if I had been a Maya, (although I don’t believe in reincarnation in the classic sense), it would be practically impossible to figure out whom, due to the scarcity of information on the culture. I would have to have been a king in order to find anything. Naturally enough the evidence led to kingship. What would be the odds of being able to figure out which one? To the table of kings I went, to see if any names sounded good. They were all stereotypical Indian-type names like 18 Rabbit, Jaguar Paw etc. Only one was odd…Curl Nose. It was a human physical attribute and a laughable one at that. It was not all that funny to me, as I have had a bent nose since birth. His reign was 400 AD, which didn’t fit into my prophecy. He lived and died long after the appearance of the Maya calendar and long before their demise. It made no sense. Stay tuned.
Over time this information led to a spiritual crisis of sorts. I turned to the Bible. Where to look? I did not want to get caught up in Revelation’s riddles. That little inner voice said “Joel”. I suddenly realized that I had not read the book of my namesake in my 47 years. The next thought of course was concerning the incredible odds against it having anything to do with my current dilemma. Imagine my shock to find the Book of Joel prophetic and apocalyptic in tone. A sickle harvest is mentioned with the footnote cross-referencing Rev 14, 14-16 (AKA the angel in a cloud). Chapter 2 is an attack by the Lord’s army. It is in two waves. Given the prophet Joel would be ignorant of cometary debris storms and energy bursts some interpretation was necessary. But to my mind there were no mental gymnastics needed to see what he was trying to describe in 400 BC terms. Exactly what my Mayan research had given me. It was a meteor storm, followed by an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) burst of energy. What would be the odds of that happening by chance?
I need to relate a few other facts about the Book of Joel before we move on. Scholars suspect someone else wrote some of it because it seems to “jump” at chapter 4 to a gathering of many armies in a place called Jehoshaphat. With this battle stopped by God, a remnant is left on Mt. Zion (AKA Temple Mount) that I later deciphered to be blossom shaped, be it an acorn, a poppy, a tulip or a lily. It is the rebuilding of the temple. Joel’s talk of visions, dreams and prophecy for everyone after repentance in chapter 3 struck me as a metaphor of the Holy Spirit being part and parcel of the galactic burst of energy. Additionally, after repentance in chapter 3, God’s army is dispatched to an arid place between two seas. After much reflection I discerned this to be on the moon between lunar seas; (the only place I could come up with, such that no one else would get hurt). I hate to give a surprise in my novel away, but this is important to know later. Lastly, the Book of Joel gets rewritten in my novel by two different authors, coincidentally and without conscious forethought by me, just as scholars had suspected of the original.
Each Ash Wednesday in my church, the reading is from the Book of Joel obviously because it emphasizes repentance. I could additionally see the metaphor of ashes as dust from a cometary debris storm. It is important to remember that the underlying theme of the Book of Joel according to the Bible is not the return of the Lord but “The Day of the Lord”.
I next tackled Nostradamus with trepidation because of his riddles and anagrams, but I wanted a little more confirmation. I will not belabor the relevant quatrain interpretations here that are in my book. My purpose is to point out the strange coincidences involved with the process. While digesting quatrain 2,62 (the only one that has the word comet in it), I read Nostradamus’ writings about his prophecies. What would be the odds (WWBTO) that the only Biblical character Nostradamus ever makes commentary about would be, you guessed it… Joel. He claims Joel is a “Punic chronology”, meaning his order of events is wrong. Towards the end of my book I was faced with factual astronomical information that caused my prophecy from the Book of Joel to be in the incorrect sequence. Thus it turned out Nostradamus was right, Joel is a Punic chronology. In the next sentence of the new paragraph after discussing Joel, Nostradamus says that the Divine Spirit is in conjunction with the celestial. This correlated perfectly with my concept of the Holy Spirit coming from space.
Eventually I had two quatrains, one about the comet, and one about the galactic center. I then realized that if Nostradamus was in agreement with me, there must be one about the moon strike (dispatching of the Lord’s army after repentance). At the same instant, I saw the pattern of the numbering of the two quatrains I had such that the third in the pattern was obvious (116, 262 next…633). Turning to 633, a perfect fit was had, except for one thing. What had to be the comet was identified by Nostradamus as being “black”. I was distraught as comets are very bright white, not black. The next day my NASA science headline email arrived with the following information: The data from the flyby of Deep Space 1 of comet Borrelly has revealed that comet nuclei are the blackest thing known in the solar system. What would be the odds, including the timing, of that happening by chance?

I attend Catholic Church with my wife and son. About this time Biblical readings started cropping up that were applicable to my research and book, which I will resist the temptation to list. At the same time, our church was being remodeled with a depiction of the Holy Spirit placed above the altar. It is a dove coming down out of the sky. Remarkably, the dove appears to descend out from the middle of, and through an object that looks strikingly like a comet. It emanates light rays all around it, which are significantly longer on the bottom. My prophecy boils down to the Holy Spirit (energy) coming through and behind a brush with a comet by way of a galactic center burst of energy. What would be the odds (WWBTO) do you suppose?
It became time to decide what and more importantly how to put this all on paper. I by coincidence (yeah, right!) had just finished The Celestine Prophecy. I thought I would couch my prophecy in a fictitious tale just as James Redfield did (in order that he could subtly advance his philosophy). I wavered. I didn’t want to brand my work a fiction. I was watching a rerun of the sitcom TV series Frasier. In this episode Frasier’s father tries to help him with his ethical dilemma of lying for the greater good. His analogy involves a comet hurtling towards the Earth. It seems Frasier could save the world, if only he would lie. The metaphor wasn’t lost on me.
Fast forward to completion of the first draft of Cosmic Locusts. I am leaving the library and see the library system’s poster for their annual fundraiser. The keynote speaker is James Redfield. I tried to sit at his table, but had to settle for sitting at Steve Alten’s instead. Seems Steve had just released Domain, a fictional tale of the Mayan calendar end date. The gist of Redfield’s speech was that “there is no such thing as coincidences”. Yeah, I know James, I hear ya. WWBTO?
As my self-imposed deadline to stop researching and start writing on my birthday 11/21/01 approached, I resisted the process by purchasing large amounts of sport rocketry construction components (my hobby). After 9/11 happened, rockets weren’t allowed to fly for about 6 weeks. After the six weeks, the one and only sport rocketry motor factory exploded. After the factory was rebuilt, my one and only cohort at work left abruptly, leaving me unable to go out of town to launch any rockets for about 3 months. By that time, the book was done. So much for stalling. My birthday being a Wednesday, it became apparent that the writing would start on Monday the 19th. On Sunday the 18th at 5 AM, I am out watching the largest meteor shower in the last forty years with smoke trails being left overhead. I did not make the connection until that moment to my plan on the very next day to start to write a book whose main event is a meteor storm. The date for writing had been set long before knowledge of the shower. WWBTO?
My book opens several years before 2012. I had no trouble deciding on May 2008. I labored long and hard on the day of the month. It needed to be special, but I could come up with nothing for the month of May. It was a queer situation. My wife then tells me her new cell phone number is written on the refrigerator. 514-2008. The fourteenth of May 2008! I then recalled that previous May 14th we had our 18 year-old cat put to sleep. It was a traumatic event for the family. I missed that sign. While writing chapter one, I wanted a terrorist event in the Middle East on 5/14/2008 to set up the Jehoshaphat chapter. I couldn’t decide on a motivation for it though. Reading about prophecy in general, I discovered that much is prophesized about the state of Israel. Its formation was May 14, 1948. On May 14, 2008 it will be 60 years old. WWBTO?
The first book I read when getting serious about Cosmic Locusts was The Day After Roswell. I didn’t feel a particular UFO connection with any of this, so I was baffled as to why in the world I was reading it. It turns out the reason was so I would have a feel for government conspiracy function. It is difficult to explain but basically, like the hundredth monkey legend, spontaneous jobs are done by individuals without their understanding the how or why of what they are doing.
I was investigating the popular idea of a pole shift and came across the book Angels Don’t Play This HAARP. It concerns a government project to beam microwaves into the ionosphere and control the airspace from an electronic perspective. I thought it was fascinating but had no clue what in the world it could have to do with me. Stay tuned.
I was standing at a magazine rack in the airport and saw a Discover issue about comets. Opening it I saw a sidebar about missions to comets coming up. Project Stardust would collect samples from a comet’s coma and return to an Air Force Base in Utah. Deep Impact (named after the movie) would place a 500-pound object in a comet path. CONTOUR would fly to 3 comets with flexibility as to which ones. Rosetta (named after the stone) would land on and explore a comet in 2012. Due to the incredible mission profiles and funny names, it hit me that “the government knows!” Yes, something like a space beam being shot at the comet would fit in perfectly with the Book of Joel where any attack on God’s army would bring a counter attack “back down on their heads”.
I now questioned my sanity. I considered the possibility I was paranoid. I got analyzed and was deemed fit but with very interesting and strange ideas. I thought that I couldn’t put this conspiracy stuff in my book without some sort of a “smoking gun”. I stewed about it for months.
It was then that my family traveled to a wedding. You must understand here that I am introverted and seldom go to parties and speak little when I do. At the rehearsal dinner, I was seated next to a woman. She and I fell into easy conversation. I was thinking to myself “what in the heck is going on here” and glanced at my wife. Our eyes said it all to each other. “What are you doing?” “I don’t know.”
Finally the woman mentioned her husband was a physics professor. Then it hit me. “What is his specialty?” I asked expecting the answer astrophysics. I was not disappointed. The next day I approached her husband. The conversation was very close to the following:
“Your wife tells me you are an astrophysicist. What is your area of research?”
“Two things. LASERs and research for the government on what kinds of things space craft might run into out there.”
“I have been reading about asteroids potentially hitting the Earth.”
“That’s not too likely anytime soon.”
“I hear the Air Force has a think tank dedicated to space matters in California.”
“Yes, I know, they have offered me a job.”
I was now faced with the pregnant pause where I decide whether to “spill the beans” as it were. I didn’t get the chance. A man approached, introduced himself as a scientist and indicated that he needed to talk to the doctor right away. He took him by the arm and they walked off. The odds of another astrophysicist at a small wedding would be what? I thought I could safely take that as the “smoking gun”. WWBTO?
As I wrote the chapter in the book where the protagonist is speaking to some government agents, I was constructing the dialogue. The idea of a space beam comes up as the government attempts to stop the comet. The next logical conversation is of the Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) following the comet. The thought then occurred to me that if the government knew of the comet, they would have to know about the EMP too. But what could they possibly do about stopping it? Like a ton of bricks, it fell on me. Project HAARP! The microwave mirror in space to control the air space electronically could potentially work as a mirror in the opposite direction out into space stopping the EMP from coming in. Holy Moley! WWBTO? Now my subconscious mind could have set this all up, but I would have to have the Einstein of subconscious minds in my opinion. I am not that smart.
My first couple of chapters being astronomical in bent, I came up with the proposal of the existence of an ancient comet. I had no information to go on other than having read that the shortest period comet (Encke at 3.3 years) was thought by some to be a remnant of a larger ancient comet. Moving forward to the chapter on the Mayan calendar, I was faced with trying to explain their 260-day calendar that meshed like two gears with a 360-day calendar (leftover 5 days were considered “evil”). The conventional wisdom was that the 260-day calendar represented days of the week for the Maya. Talk about long weeks! I wasn’t satisfied. I brainstormed. A circular orbit planet of 260 days would be too close to Venus (224 day orbit). But if it were an elliptical orbit, it was doable. At that point I said to myself “Duh, an elliptical orbit would be a comet.” There you have it, the ancient comet. History repeats itself. Much more on this later.

As the rewrite was going on, Palm Sunday occurred. Now I have heard the story of Christ’s death many times, but it was suddenly like it was the first time. When he actually died an earthquake occurred, tombs were opened and people had visions and prophesized. I thought to myself “I have never heard this part before.” My mind jumped to Joel chapter four about Jehoshaphat. As the armies are defeated, an earthquake occurs and the visions happen. History repeats itself. I went home debating whether to tell my wife or not. I thought how maybe it was like when you buy car brand X, suddenly car brand X is everywhere. I finally decided to tell her the story. She said, “Its like when you buy car brand X, suddenly car brand X is everywhere.” I said, “Guess what honey, I’ve got another coincidence for you.”
The first draft was complete in exactly 30 days on 12/19/2001. My very first thought the next day was that the moon impact happening during a full moon needed to be researched for accuracy. I was sure that it would not be full. I also thought that I needed to go out during the next occurrence of the proper phase and observe in order to write the event more accurately. Research revealed that it wasn’t a full moon naturally enough. It was a half moon, waxing towards full. From a dramatic perspective that seemed actually better, with a slow uncovering of the (pardon the pun) full impact of the event. When was the next occurrence of that phase in order to visualize it first hand? The very next day, and it was 12/21/2001, the winter solstice, 11 years to the day of the end date and the moon impact. WWBTO?
I knew early on that there was a fatal flaw with my story. The EMP would stop a lot of critical systems, most notably nuclear reactor control system, causing meltdowns. I put it aside and then forgot it. A friend at work called me on it during final stage rewrites. I immediately fell into a daydream to try and figure out a solution. I thought how the EMP could turn from energy into matter and act as stand in control rods, stopping the nuclear reaction. Energy into matter was quantum physics and way beyond me. “God would take care of this”, I thought to myself. That very afternoon, NASA science headline email strikes again. Strangely, it has been the only email from them not dealing directly with space matters. It stated that a fourth state of matter had been discovered called Bose-Einstein condensates (first proposed by Einstein). In the weird world of quantum physics, it is a transition state between energy and matter. WWBTO?

As I finished the book, there conveniently was the first meeting of a local writers group. I went to the meeting and came away knowing that any manuscript needed professional editing. The first and only attempt to locate an editor follows. Using the business card of the group leader who had been published, I went to her website to see who her editor was. She writes romance novels, so there is no, pardon the pun, metaphysical connection here. Link to her editor’s site. Looks pretty good. Link to the editor’s biggest customer’s site. A metaphysical publisher called Inner Traditions. Link to their biggest division. It is Bear Publishing, who is the publisher for John Major Jenkins. WWBTO?
During this time I purchase the album Red Dirt Girl by singer Emylou Harris. A beautiful album with a strange lyric in one song concerning stars falling on Alabama. Other than the coincidence of red dust from the comet, I made no connection with my book. Later in my asteroid email group comes an article about Alabama changing its license plate to read “Stars Fell On Alabama”. Seems they had a meteor storm in 1836 that was that memorable. It can easily be seen as a potential basis for William Miller’s comet/Christ prophecy for 1844. But there is more. It seems the only known case of a meteorite injury occurred to a lady in Alabama on 11/30/1954. Not only is this the “exit” of the galactic center days, but also is the year of my birth, which occurs on the “entrance” of the GC days (Ed: Joel's term, "galactic center days" refers to the "astrological" position of GC. Astrology follows the tropical zodiac, or the position that the stars were in when the zodiac was conceived. Since then, precession has moved their apparent position. So, in the tropical zodiac, GC is at 28o Sagittarius, while in the sidereal zodiac is at 6o Sagittarius - see J. M. Jenkins)
Interestingly the start of the new year of the liturgical calendar for the Catholic Church starts about the exit day. Be reminded also that dragons and snakes represent comets. The Maya represented the Milky Way across the sky by the cosmic monster or alligator. My birthday converted to a Mayan date is alligator month and snake day. My daughter was born on the Chinese cusp of dragon and snake year. 2012 is the year of the dragon. The Aquarian age also figures into my book. Both my daughter and father are Aquarians. WWBTO?
My daughter gave me a poster from National Geographic all about Mars. A notable table on it shows most craft sent to Mars have failed. I would make much of this to friends as most occurred under strange circumstances. Silly me, I made no connection to my book’s cometary craft. As the book was going to press, they started failing also. NASA named a Navy Admiral to head up the investigation of the loss of CONTOUR. Rosetta has missed its window for a couple years due to an explosion of its intended booster. It is like someone doesn’t want us to know everything about neither Mars nor comets.
OCTO-LIBRA!!!
As the book was finishing up I had doubts about the main event occurring on October 3, 2012. I had pulled the date “out of the air” as it were from a Nostradamus quatrain that I didn’t even use until the rewriting. I had an astrological alignment from another quatrain giving me October 2012, but no day. I had to have an exact date. So I got one, but didn’t feel confident about it.
Several things happened in short order to fix that. I had a childhood recollection of my friend’s birthday. I could not have been more than 6 or 7 years old. I can vividly recall coming home and staring at the calendar and thinking “this is important”. I had always assumed it was the realization that I wasn’t the only important person in the world. I am unsure of his birthday, but it was either the 3rd or 4th of October. This story may be weak, but remember it, it will be back.
As the rewriting was finishing, we moved into a new house. The house strangely had the same street number as the last house I owned some ten years earlier. I spent some time trying to make significance out of 4661. I could not. Now in the city I live now and the one ten years ago, street numbers are set up as a sort of a longitude and latitude, such that following a straight line in either direction, you will always be at the same street number no matter what street you are on. The address across the street corner is 10212. This is easily seen as October 2, 2012, the day before the main event in my book.
John Major Jenkins new book Galactic Alignment arrives. In it he delves into lunar eclipses and goes into the exaltation point of the moon astrologically. Now this came, as a shock to find out exaltation was an astrological term because the word was in the French version of the October 2012 quatrain. The reference had interpreted it to mean ascendant. It had left me wanting. Now here was new helpful information. JMJ for some unknown reason included the exaltation points for all the planets even though it wasn’t germane to his discussion. The exaltation point for Saturn, which was the planet in my quatrain about October 2012, was listed as 21 degrees of Libra. I didn’t need to do the math, but did anyway. It works out to October 2. Isn’t it interesting that it was right in front of me the whole time? Isn’t it ironic that JMJ’s new book would come at the proper moment to straighten something out that he knew nothing of? WWBTO?
I later discovered from Geoff Stray that I had unknowingly placed my event in the middle of the Mayan five “evil” days (Ed: see 2012 Calendar). I further discovered from Galactic Alignment and church going that an ancient warning of cosmic disaster is encoded in the zodiac, the sphinx and transferred to the Bible. It is a long story but the short version is that the four “fixed” astrological signs are contained in the Sphinx and are transferred to represent the four gospels of the New Testament. I discovered that moving from galactic center towards galactic anti-center, (moving straight out of the galaxy from center through Earth and out through the Taurus-Gemini cusp), are assigned to Matthew going towards Mark which is left to right on the crucifixion cross; John (Aquarius) is top and Luke (Leo) is bottom. So the movement of the energy pulse from GC would be Matthew to Mark. My childhood friend’s name…Matthew Martin. (Ed: The diagram in Galactic Alignment is from A Monument to the End of Time by Weidner & Bridges, and based on Fulcanelli's comments on a stone cross in the Basque coastal town of Hendaye. The alchemist, Fulcanelli implied that the four "A" glyphs surrounding a cross, within an egg shape, may have had something to do with Trump 21 of the Tarot - The World, and on that card, the four fixed signs/creatures of the apocalypse/four evangelists are shown in the four corners of the card with Aquarius and Scorpio on top left & right and Leo and Taurus on bottom left & right - this does not reflect their positions in the zodiac. Weidner & Bridges surmised that the top of the cross was Galactic Center and the bottom was Galactic Edge or Anti-center, corresponding to the current positions of solstices. The horizontal bar thus represents current position of equinoxes. Therefore, traveling from Galactic center to Anti-center would be the equivalent of the Top of Trump 21 to the bottom, which could actually be seen in terms of Scorpio (Mathew) to Taurus (Mark) OR Aquarius (John) to Leo (Luke)).
The last appearance of the Virgin Mary to the children of Fatima was October 13 (much more on Fatima later.) From the time of Christ to now there has been a calendar change. It has moved ten days ahead. Pushing October 13 back to the Julian calendar one would get October 3. I was starting to feel pretty good with my choice of day for the attack of God’s army (AKA the meteor storm). This all worked out with confirmation from several sources from an original “pulling it out of the air”. WWBTO?
From JMJ’s Galactic Alignment I discovered Earth Under Fire by Paul LaViolette. Seems he is an astrophyicist who proposes galactic energy bursts in the past and in the future. I was shocked to find confirmation (without ever actually looking for it) from a reputable scientist for what I thought was my “hare-brained” idea. In my first chapter, my protagonist discovers a gamma ray burst (GRB). LaViolette is credited with theorizing their existence before the first one was discovered. WWBTO? Here are the important points from his book:
1. LaViolette says we are due for a burst. When we get an EMP as in the past, we will have mayhem, as electricity has now been invented.
2. The original research on GC was done by the Naval Observatory in the 1930s and is still classified.
3. He theorizes the government may have a secret weapon developed for galactic energy bursts, testing of which may be responsible for crop circles, UFO lights and the Taos hum.
4. He includes as evidence for bursts many prophecies he says relates to GC bursts, most notably the Book of Joel and Fatima Prophecy by Ray Stanford.
I was ignited to finish my book. The prophecy was apparently all too true. As far as I was concerned the final rewrite had to be done that very week and off to the printer. Conveniently, I walked out in the early AM to go to work on the final rewrite day and saw another meteorite shower. Come to find out it was the other swath of comet debris we pass through each year (besides the one in November). It was 8/12/02.
The Galactic Center - A Radio picture
In 1917 the Virgin Mary appeared to three children at Fatima, Portugal. She gave them a prophecy to give to the Vatican to be released in 1960. The Vatican accepts the incident as a true appearance but did not release the document. In the 1970s a psychic in the style of Edgar Cayce named Ray Stanford released a book channeling a source revealing the secret of the Fatima prophecy. It boils down to this. A cosmic solar event will occur, raining energies down upon man through the ionosphere. It is easy to see the comparison to my prophecy. Recall that HAARP works through the ionosphere. The only problem was that I did not see any reference to a comet. Stay tuned.
I next happened upon (yeah, right!) a book by astronomers Clube and Napier who theorize that an ancient comet existed (Ed: their first book is Cosmic Serpent; their second is Cosmic Winter). I hurriedly picked up the book to read while having my oil changed. I stuck a bookmark in randomly. I decided to read the summary last chapter first. They indicated a passionate book about a comet terrorizing the Earth needed to be written to warn everyone that this was going to happen again (Who could they be talking to?). They also mentioned comet Encke. I turned to the index, which gave a page number for a picture of Encke. Back to the Index. The next Encke reference was where I had the bookmark. It was the beginning of a chapter called The Cosmic Swarm (AKA Cosmic Locusts?). Seems we go through the trail of Encke each and every November. The same one I stood under the day before writing my book. I had heard it was comet Swift-Tuttle’s trail. Seems it’s a matter of perspective. Clube and Napier track back comets Encke, Swift-Tuttle, and Oljato’s orbits back to one large comet about 5,000 years ago. Interestingly, within a few hundred years, the Mayan, Hebrew and Chinese calendars all start 5,000 years ago. What event could they have had in common? WWBTO?
Clube and Napier investigate many legends that could be associated with the ancient comet. They think biblically Archangel Michael’s flaming sword was a comet. They indicate that the comet would have been very prominent in the sky morning and evening much as the planet Venus. They feel that when the comet broke up, its myths were ascribed over to Venus. This idea struck a recollection from Fatima Prophecy. I remember the channeled source going off on how the birth of the planet Venus was responsible for the current ascension of mankind to his present intellectual and spiritual state and not having a clue as to what it was talking about. Now I know. Checking back with the Fatima Prophecy book, of course the Venus reference was found on the same page as the cosmic solar event. Another paragraph on the same page spoke of Archangel Michael’s flaming sword being involved in this. Later I found that the birth of Venus is associated with the Mayan god Quetzacoatl. I had found the comet associated with the Fatima “cosmic solar event”. WWBTO?
No sooner does all this happen, then The Sun tabloid runs a story claiming a nun who works in the Vatican archives has come clean on the Fatima Prophecy. Seems it is a flaming serpent (AKA Quetzacoatl, AKA the comet), descending upon man, whereupon, electrical discharge sparks (AKA the EMP from GC) go everywhere and God’s Holy Light comes down (AKA The Holy Spirit). Think about the timing of all this. WWBTO?
Naturally I start searching Fatima Prophecy for the other parts of my prophecy and I found them. My book mentions the Tantrism philosophy, “As above, so below” over and over. I looked for my Temple Mount object. It is not only there, but the source says it will be there because “As above, so below.” Fatima Prophecy indicates there will be a final warning for the cosmic solar event and the time frame mentioned fits my May 14, 2008 book start date that I labored over the choice of with such difficulty.
A few weeks after deciding to become Catholic (which is even more involved than what you just read), I was jogging and contemplating the final warning. I came up with a good idea as to what it could be just as I finished running. I came in my driveway and saw something in the grass. It wasn’t there when I had started. There was no wind. It was a piece of paper, white, round and about one inch in diameter. A perfect representation of a communion wafer. The Fatima children had received communion from the Archangel Michael. I had just started Catholic classes. WWBTO?

As if Clube and Napier wouldn’t be enough, I came across From Exodus to Arthur by Mike Baillee. He is a tree ring expert who was trying to figure out how ancient trees worldwide had poor growth at exactly the same moments in history. He could find no volcanic activity at the appropriate times. Recent ice core drillings revealed meteoric type dust at the appropriate times. He thus started researching historical writings of the times involved looking for cometary references. The worst and longest lasting cometary debris storm was 400 to 600 AD. The exact time of king Curl Nose. BINGO! WWBTO? What else would Curl Nose’s successor be named but Stormy Sky given all the dust that was in the air. Also it was the time of the Dark Ages in Europe. Apparently they were not just metaphorically dark, but may have been actually dark. It was the time of Arthur and Merlin. My daughter has always been fascinated with those legends. Now I knew why. Superimposed over the bad tree growth of 400 to 600 AD is a very bad single event, probably an impact at 540 AD. Remember that date.
1. Satellite SOHO has detected a patterned swarm of small comets in close orbit around the sun suggesting that they belonged to a large ancient comet 5 to 25 thousand years ago.
2. An asteroid in a horseshoe shaped orbit has been discovered that becomes a moon of the Earth for 50 years every so often. The last time was 550 AD. Close enough to 540 AD to have perhaps caused an impact?
3. From a space shuttle flight where the entire Earth’s surface was exposed to ground penetrating radar, an impact crater has been discovered in the jungles of Bolivia. The remarkable thing is that due to it being in the jungle with its crater deteriorating effects, it can’t be more than a few thousand years old.
4. General Worden of the US Air Force’s Space Command says his biggest worry is a cometary debris storm.
5. The USAF is building a series of telescopes in Hawaii that, when they are linked together by computer, will form the most powerful optical telescope in the world. Stated purpose is to look for asteroids.
6. The USAF has been handing out grants to small colleges with under-utilized telescopes, to spend some time searching the skies for asteroids.
Some strange things happened at the ten years and counting mark for the major events of Cosmic Locusts. I received the books from the printer on 9/25/02. On October 3, 2002 (ten years until the day of the storm) I first went public at our local writer’s meeting. There was only me, the group leader and one other guy present, so we just discussed my book. Seems this guy was a “devout atheist” and thought everything I mentioned was just coincidence. I was getting frustrated. Finally he said he had to leave as his wife had a birthday cake awaiting him at home. I asked if he saw any coincidence in the world ending on his birthday ten years from today. He did not. Since then I have found my father-in-law’s birthday is 10/3 also.
My father-in-law and I were sitting, relaxing after the Thanksgiving Day meal, and strangely watching CNN instead of football. A story came on about fighter jets scrambling to investigate a mysterious contrail in the atmosphere from the Caribbean across Florida and up through the Midwest. That line sounded familiar to me. It is in Galactic Alignment on page 207. The Zodiac is overlayed on a map of the Earth. The line from GC to GC anti-center runs exactly that way. Strange the happenstance of Thanksgiving I thought. Then I realized we were in the Galactic center days. Then I realized it was ten years and counting to the day of the lunar eclipse in Cosmic Locusts. WWBTO?
On the ten-year and counting to the Mayan end date of 12/21/2002 at midnight, the alarm clock went off. Now it was because my wife had dusted it that day and it went to the default setting, but it has never happened before or since. Interestingly, the song playing at the time was a Christmas carol right at the line “Said the Shepard boy to the mighty king…Do you know what I know?” Well, do you know yet?
1. The book The Bible Code by Michael Drosnin (discovered by Israeli mathematician Eli Rips), treats the Old Testament as a code to be broken. One of his decipherments is this: “2012, Comet, I will tear it to pieces.”
2. In her book Message From Mary, Annie Kirkwood channels the Virgin Mary. Last year Mary told her we are in danger from an object from outer space in 2012.
3. Michael Morgan wrote a book about his spirit guide Yokar. In his follow up book, In the Days of the Comet, Yokar says we are in danger from a comet.
4. I discovered another book entitled In the Days of the Comet written 90 years ago by H G Wells. In his novel a comet hits the Earth and everyone becomes more spiritually enlightened.
5. Mother Shipton, a contemporary of Nostradamus, repeatedly prophesizes about a dragon (AKA comet) and specifically its tail (AKA cometary debris storm.) She mentions only one date by name and indicates that you “might as well build your house of sticks” after that with what governments have planned. The year was 1926. The year the GC was first discovered (and the year my mother was born).
6. Recently discovered Isaac Newton writings about the apocalypse have been discovered. They basically center on calculations of long period comets.
7. Lord Byron wrote about comets several times. Here is a short excerpt:
“When I grow weary of it, I have business amongst the stars, which these poor creatures deem were made for them to look at. Twere a jest now to bring one down amongst them, and set fire unto their ant hill: How the ants then would scamper over the scalding soil, and ceasing from tearing down each others nests, pipe forth one universal prayer.”
I decided (after my book had already been published) to research the possibility of a 260-day orbit comet. Into the search engine went “260” and “comet” and up came an article about the 260-day calendar by a Mayan scholar. Seems the 260 wheel is divided into 5 sections of 52 days with a comet in a different aspect to the Earth and Sun in each one. He didn’t make the connection, but I did. Sounds like the calendar for a comet’s orbit to me. The number 52 struck me, as I already knew that the meshing wheels of the 260 and 360-day calendars produced a unique date that repeats every 52 years. I also knew that the time from when the Fatima prophecy was supposed to be released by the Vatican until 2012 was coincidentally 52 years. This caused me to think of my opening date in Cosmic Locusts. I found it was 52 months from the October 3rd event. I counted back 52 days and came up with August 13, which happens to be the start date of the Mayan calendar in 3114 BC. (Ed: August 13 was zero day according to the #584285 correlation that ends on December 23, 2012, but according to the #584283 correlation, which correlates to the True Count and ends on December 21, 2012, zero day was August 11. However, using the free Geditcom date calculator, we find that 52 days before October 3, is August 12, which was day one - 0.0.0.0.1 in the #584283). I was telling this story to my wife and realized I hadn’t considered 52 hours. Oh, that would be silly (yeah, right!). Well, 52 hours back from October 3rd at 4 AM is October 1st at midnight, the start of the five Mayan “evil days” that I hadn’t known my event date was in the middle of. WWBTO?
At about that same time in church we learned of the Presentation of the Lord. It occurred at 40 days after birth. I wondered about 40 days after the event. It would bring one to November 13, upon which there is, a solar eclipse (not in my book). Another 40 days after that is the Mayan calendar end date, the winter solstice, 12/21/2012. WWBTO?
It was time to research Curl Nose. He came to power under very strange circumstances. It is a long story. Here are the most important features for our discussion.
1. It was not a father to son transition. Very unusual. He became the King of the city of Tikal.
2. There was an “event” January 16, 378 AD. The archeological short hand for it is "the 11 Eb event" (Ed: named after the Maya day-sign 11 Eb - Eb = tooth, or grass - more info here.) (My father’s birthday is 11 Feb). It is one of the few dates recorded in more than one Mayan location.
3. Curl Nose had “help” from two mysterious personages from the West.
I received a gift certificate to Amazon.com for Christmas. My plan was to buy Fatima Prophecy. It didn’t happen. Instead I bought The Lost Hall of Records by a couple of Edgar Cayce followers. It is about the Atlantean records in the Yucatan, which are identical to the ones thought to be under the Sphinx. There was little doubt to me there would be a connection, although I really didn’t want to know. Based on research of the applicable Cayce readings, here are the important points.
1. The magnetic rocks called hematite are important to the mystery. WWBTO?
2. A six-sided Firestone crystal is amongst the tablets in the hall or records. I lift my eyes from the book over to the shell in which my hematite stones are kept. A six-sided crystal from my childhood was sitting on top of the stones in the shell. I remember having dug it out of storage and putting it there, although I gave no thought at the time as to why I was doing it.
3. The city that they identify as the location of the Hall of Records came to prominence circa 400 AD and is directly West of Tikal. This fits in perfectly with the legend, time and place of Curl Nose. WWBTO?
4. I proceed to the Cayce organization website and a moving banner is at the top of the screen announcing the Lost Hall of Records authors’ seminar about the coming changes in the Earth and in spirit. I check out the schedule of events and it has a quote from a Cayce reading alongside. It is verbatim from the Book of Joel. WWBTO?
5. I write an email to my brother to ask his opinion on this weird reincarnation type of synchronicity going on. Now, he has only shown a direct interest in the Civil War. I did not tell him anything previously about the Hall of Records. He emails me back asking if I can guess what book he just received in the mail. “GIVE UP? The Lost Hall of Records.” It was January 16, 2003. The exact anniversary of the beginning of the 1626th year of the 11 Eb event bringing Curl Nose to the throne. For those of you into numerology, my wife, son and mother-in-law all have as their birthday the 16th of October. January 16, 2003 was also the day Columbia was launched on a 16-day mission. 16 minutes before its scheduled landing at 9:16, it disintegrated looking much like a meteor or a comet. A metaphor for the fall of technology?
I joined the yahoo groups on 2012 Theory and Earth prophecy to promote my book. Shortly after I did, someone also stating that they were new to the group asked a question. They had a dream that said “it will hit the moon on Tuesday.” They wanted to know if anybody knew what that might mean. I knew I could help. I didn’t really have to check the day of the week, but I did anyway. When I had the moon struck with God’s army (AKA comet remnants), I was unsure as to exactly when. Exactly on the Mayan end date of 12/21 seemed too obvious although that’s what I wound up doing. I had it calculated in the book as 12/23. I gave thought to having it hit on Christmas. I wound up writing, “the closeness of Christmas to the event wasn’t lost on most people”. 12/21 is Friday in 2012. The next Tuesday is Christmas. Is someone trying to tell me I had the day right to start with?
One day I was thinking how I would look pretty foolish when my prophecy doesn’t come true. A few minutes later, I’m folding laundry totally zoned out, when I realize I am humming a song. I slowly come back to reality and recognize it. I consider the lyrics. They follow with commentary in parentheses.

Well, this information put me on my knees with my hands over my face for a few minutes. When I recovered it was off to the Internet to find the lyrics to the other verses. The fact that it was a Civil War song wasn’t lost on me. Not only has my brother written a book about his incarnation as a Confederate General, I had “played” Civil War as a child. This is a very unusual happenstance given that I had grown up in the Northern US where the Civil War is given little thought. I even fancied myself a Confederate until I discovered they lost the war. Anyway, the second verse is an obvious metaphor for a cometary storm. Remember also that the theme of the Book of Joel is the “Day of the Lord”, and that according to Nostradamus, the number “hundred” represents God’s army and Revelation speaks of hundredweight hailstones.

receive His Holy Spirit, at whatever level you know it.
Diligently live the finest and highest example that you know, according
to your guidance and direction. These
things must be done if this is to be averted.
If what is to be averted? The activity of cosmic “dust” and cosmic rays encountering the sun and planetary body of the Earth would cause a chemical reaction in the ionosphere. The reaction of the sun itself would cause a great enhancement and increase of solar winds, of atomic hydrogen moving through space, and of other isotopic substances carried by magnetic fields to the Earth and other planets, encountering and affecting even the atmosphere.”
