CUZ NORLAKE
The mystery Weslake Wasp of 1986 has come to light. It is in France and the owner, Cuz, has been in touch to let me know what's happening with it. He bought it in 1986, when the picture was taken in Brighton, UK, and converted it to petrol to travel the world. He had to smuggle it out of Algeria in 1989 and has not started it since, but is now installing it in a featherbed frame (engine now bored out to 1200cc) and is adapting a Norvil clutch and Lucas Rita ignition with the hope of track-racing it "next season". First picture is the Weslake Wasp in 1986; second picture - as it is now, in the featherbed frame.
SUN-BURNE
On Orkney, Andrew Giggle's 60-degree Blackburne engine in a Sunbeam frame. The engine's external flywheel has an integral clutch and may be swopped for separate units.
