The Year 2012, fiction by Ivan & Dora Cain: Elbib Ehtdrow is a reporter in Jerusalem covering the descent of a hooded humanoid on a cloud in Jerusalem, in 2012. The person is taken to be the Messiah returned, and calls himself Natas Reficul, and starts putting the world in order. This is a predictable replay of the prophecies of the Book of Revelation - just reverse the names to get the plot.

The discussion group, Time Wave Zero 2012, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/timewavezero2012 has had a bit of trouble recently, "migrating to groups", which means that the whole site has been re-configured, supposedly to improve it, but largely, to add annoying advertising everywhere. Hundreds of messages disappeared, or became empty shells. After much haranguing, it has been sorted out, with the exception of about 30 messages between 10 March and 22 March, but Yahoo have actually replied to me now, to say it is in hand, and the site is offline right now, while they do the final bit of fixing (hopefully). So, don't give up on it - it should be ready in a few hours.
